Over the Songkran Holiday (Also Spring Break) Nate had the opportunity to co-host a team from College Park Indiana. The team spent a few days in Chiang Mai warming up to the consistantly 100+ degree whether then traveled 2 hours north of Chiang Mai to a Lahu Village and assisted with a family camp for 4 days. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, our first EBC mobile training was March 5-9, 2012 at Meun ka Church. There were 39 full-time and part-time ministers that attended. Myself along with two teachers; Bon da leh Yeh Ao were teachers of this training. We spent 8 hours a day teaching and conducting question and answer for LCCC. Spring Semester in Thailand students had the incredible opportunity to hear Witoons testimony while staying at Bala Village. Witoon tearfully shared hardships that he came across as well as failures on his own part to have success in his farm. He shared his vision for his village to have a sustainable income through the integrated farm concept. The Spring Semester in Thailand is a Christian study abroad cultural immersion program directed by Mike and Ann Leming. SST is a partner program of Project: Restore and this month students in this program from independent Christian schools all over the US had an opportunity to stay in Witoons’ Baan Bala Village for 12 days. Tatupa and Tatumo were both extremely encouraged by this year’s students; Ado, an Akha student, would like to be a barber in his village. Tamapa told Tatupa that the first thing he would like to do is tell his parents about Jesus. The 8th of April marked the last day of the program for the boys at The Life Center. After 4 months the boys seemed to grow as close as family. This year marked year 12 for the program and now over 340 students have graduated Tatupa’s program. Tears were shed at the graduation, the students showcased songs learned, shared there thanks and worshiped together one last time before heading home starting a new chapter in their own lives. On April 7th a wind storm whipped through Chiang Mai and parts of Northern Thailand knocking over telephone poles and damaging rural homes. Polan, a village in northern Thailand where there are very few believers suffered damage including the loss of the church roof (Small bamboo hut shown in image).
