Short Term Teams

Step One:
Review the following important documents. These documents define how FCF operates, and more importantly why FCF operates the way it does.

  • Our Sandbox is the most important document we have in our collection. We want everybody to know why we are in this business and use this document to communicate the vision God has given us. Every statement in this document has been carefully crafted to help keep our organization in line with our mission and every employee, volunteer, STM, and intern is expected to hop on board.
  • Child Protection Policy and our Child Discipline Policy define how we treat the children that we work with. This document was designed to communicate that these children are precious and valuable and everybody involved with FCF will be held to the standards set.
  • Talk is Cheap Guide to Ministry was created to help you understand our views on STM and internships as well as give you a basic orientation to Thailand and it’s culture. This guide will become a very important tool while creating and implementing your ministry plan.

Step Two:
Fill out an online application. If, after reviewing all the information in step one, you feel called to pursue a STM or Internship please fill out the online application so we can get to know you better. We will contact you directly after we have received this application for a personal interview via Skype.

Step Three:
It’s time to plan the trip. We work hard to ensure that STM and Internships don’t tax the active missionary community any more than necessary. We do this through extensive planning that will put you in the right place at the right time for maximum impact on the field. Durring this stage we will finalize budgeting and an appropriate itinerary that will give your trip true focus on the calling God has for you. There are some relevant documents listed below that will help you get started. If it seams like a lot, don’t worry. We will be right there beside you the whole way.

Step Four:
The Trip! You have worked hard to follow a calling that God has put in your heart and now you are on the field. This will inevitably be a life changing experience for you. Hold on, follow your plan as best you can but remember that it WILL change as circumstance change. Be flexible so you don’t break under tension. If you have made it this far God has put a calling on your life and we are committed to seeing it through.

Step Five:
Debrief & Re-Integration is an important aspect of any successful STM or Internship. We will prepare you on the field to return home with tools to communicate what you have experienced. It is crucial that we share what God is doing in an effective way the spreads God’s vision for His church.
